This is an old model somewhere around 1990-1991, shortly after Kimber moved to Yonkers. All original except for following parts that were purchased from Kimber; flared magwell/mainspring housing, thumb safety, wood grips, and all springs have been replaced. The trigger breaks crisp at 2.75 pounds. Also included are 7 and 8 round Mec-Gar magazines.

At the risk of sounding like a know-it-all, Kimber 1911 production began in April 1996 with the move to Yonkers in late April 1997. The earliest Yonkers s/n i have seen is K008250. A rough guess puts your pistols build date about June 1997.
