That's Michelle. They've been there forever, on a volunteer basis. Very sarcastic and funny individual, who is not concerned about whether or not what they say is taken in a positive light. My favorite interaction witnessed was when a person picks Golden Saber over gold dot ammo and they said to the customer when asked whether or not it was better, "I don't know if it's better, but it's got a cooler name".

Keith's isn't my favorite gun shop either, but they'll probably be selling whatever firearms are allowed long after the last shovel of dirt hits your coffin.

I agree that you should voice your concerns with Keith the owner. Keith's Sporting Goods had a bad reputation a number of years ago and I have a couple friends that will never go there because of it. I feel they have changed over the years but your comments are not a good sign. Keith, his wife and son-in-law have been good people to have around in the gun business. They keep a good supply of guns and sell them at a good price. But do let Keith know for the better of his business. Just my opinion.

Always liked Keith's and enjoyed my conversations with Keith and his employees. Sucks you had a bad experience and I would encourage you to go in and ask to talk with Keith to discuss. Business owners usually welcome hearing constructive feedback whether negative or positive as it helps them improve their customer experience.

I've been here a few times. In the past it's been an alright experience. I went recently though, and they have a newer employee that is incredibly inappropriate and a disturbed individual. They were talking a lot about the voices in their head they hear, making very inappropriate and unprofessional remarks. I couldn't tell if it was a female or a male. I don't know if they knew what they were either. I overheard them talking about gun safety with children and they literally said "it pretty much comes down to if your kid is chewing on the barrel, don't pull the trigger." The jokes it was making was incredibly inappropriate and I overheard them say MANY inappropriate things. I don't know how the heck someone like this could be permitted to work in a gun store. Literally talking about hearing voices in their head and having conversations with the voices they hear. I really hope this person does not own any firearms. This type of person makes responsible gun owners look horrible and with that attitude it is just one joke away from a complete tragedy. This person has no business within 20 feet of firearms. They were loudly and continuously talking about the voices in their head, which was one of the most disturbing parts. They sounded very mentally unstable. They also made many errors with the pricing and transaction that another worker had to help with and correct. It was a very unpleasant experience, and I will not be coming back, which is unfortunate, I liked the place before. Guess I'll go get my items elsewhere. Does anybody have a recommendation on a consistently good place to get items shipped to and purchase ammo, supplies, etc from that is in the Portland area? Specifically EAST side, as Beaverton, Tualatin, Tigard, Hillsboro is about 45 minutes one way from my place and I never go out that way. Ive read a bit into Northwest Armory but Ive seen MANY reviews that make me very hesitant to go try them out.
Thanks

I have always had pretty good experiences at Curt's Discount Shooting Supply: 17843 SE McLoughlin Blvd., Milwaukie, OR.
They seem to be mainly AR things, but they carry other stuff as well.....ammo included. I have only been in there for AR stuff.

I'll second Curt's, and also throw in a plug for Oregon Rifleworks in Tigard. Josh is a good owner, and the people that work in his shop like Tony, et. al, make it fun to visit and shoot the stuff with them.

Keith's and The Gun Room are the only two shops I'll never

set foot in. My experiences may be different from others

but they were bad enough on multiple visits for me to

spend my money elsewhere.

I had my own reasons to stop patronizing Keiths. I gave them a second chance, only to be reminded of why I stopped doing business with them. I used to drive from Hillsboro to Gresham to go there.

Likewise, there was a knuckle head at The Gun Broker (two actually, Roid the owner, and one of his long time minions) that gave cause to me not to return and they were the first gun shop I dealt with and one I liked, for a long time. When Northwest Armory brought a gunshop back to that location in Tigard - they brought back the old manager Steve, at least for a time. Dude looked like Gallager's better looking brother, knew his guns, and was always a pleasure to deal with. Some of the other knuckle heads - not so much.

Rapid Fire out in Sandy was good, the handful of times I was in there. Curts Shooter Supply in Gladstone is the place to go for AR stuff, and they did right by me. Northwest Armory in Milwaukie is good. If you bring yourself to a drive - Oregon Arms & Ammunition in Hillsboro is good, and the folks at A Cut Above Pawn in Aloha usually had some really interesting stuff in the gun cases and on the racks. Very friendly folks there.

Life is too short to deal with jackwagons - and there are plenty of shops who would welcome your business without the headaches of the others. If you were shopping by price, the two consistently best options were Northwest Armory and Sportsman's Warehouse.

Thanks for the heads up. I surprised that any folks who were not there nor heard what you heard would seemingly challenge you on this thread. I'm with you 100%. Perhaps someone can direct Keith folks to this link, something positve could come of it. There are a lot of places folks can spend their money, I would think they would want to address this issue.

Well folks must be able to over look a lot or they are doing something right as they normally have the best pricing and availability in the state of Oregon. If they aren't the highest volume dealer in the state they are one of the highest volume dealers.

They probably are the highest volume - at least as far as Glocks go. They're probably the oldest Glock LE retailer in Oregon. Between gun shows and their store in Gresham they sell a lot of guns. Having low prices means a lot of people can overlook a lot of azzholery.

You guys hearing voices are lucky. All I have is the Tinnitus/ringing inside of the ear droning on...and on.....

I used to think that noise was Tinnitus, but, as I grew older, I came to realize that Liberal Screeching has become so intense it's now like it's own radio frequency. Kinda like the dog whistle thing. Just enjoy it.

Can someone give me the lore on The Gun Room. I feel like I went in there like 7 years ago and the guy tried to tell me he had Alvin York's 1903 and that I could buy it for 1500 dollars but I'm not sure if that's a real memory or just a weird dream.
