It can be a bit of chore at times...but...
Seeing someone's face light up after they hit a gong with a Leman Rifle circa 1830's-1840's...is worth any hassle.

Which is a feeling that many non gun owners don't understand and even more anti-gun people , sadly won't let themselves or others experience.

If only, people understood, that a firearm as a tool of defense is only a small part.
There is History, Fellowship, Amazing Mechanical Engineering and much more.
Until we can reduce the firearm in the eyes of the media and many more as it being just a tool of violence,
not allot will change, but that will take education and strong political understanding by all.

Knute is hardly my ideal candidate, but he's a far cry better than Brown, so he gets my vote.

^ This.

I'm not a fan of either party, to put it very mildly, but this one should be be pretty straight forward:

  • It is exceedingly unlikely that Knute will burn up political capital and go against his own party to enact sweeping gun control measures. He voted against two of the worst gun laws in this state and voiced opposition to the insanely tyrannical IP-43.
  • Kate has been quite open she wants as many draconian laws as possible passed under her time in office.
As with every other election cycle, I know I'm voting for the one that is the least detrimental to my rights.

If we can keep the legislature margins narrow (majorities seem unobtanium at this point), ie: NOT veto-proof, I think we stand a better than average chance of
A) Knute vetoing the promised AWB, or
B) The antis holding off for a few more yrs knowing that their legislation won't make it past Gov Buhler's desk.

Pretty clear to me.

The soft approach and in my opinion way too much tolerance is "not" showing our disdainment is shadowing progress, where a majority could be held.

If Knute wins the Oregon Legislature will come up with a rule for "Double Secret Emergency Legislation" that doesn't require a Governor's signature or public disclosure because children.

I think I don't know what this means.
I have choices in my state districts except when it comes to US Rep: Blumenaur vs the other socialist wack-job... I'm not sure what the proper move is there. Write-in? Abstain? What sends the messege of "no confidence"?

I've avoided posing those last questions here because they're not directly gun-politics related.
