What's the "permit to purchase" bill?

I "imagine" that it is similar to laws in NJ, IA, etc where you must have a permit/license to own a firearm. To me, that is highly unacceptable and when my wife is no longer with me, I will be leaving this state too.

So much for unity. These people are truly awful. They keep coming back again and again until they get what they want. If the voters shoot something down, they simply reword it and try again. Kitzhaber gets run out of office, and they replace him with someone from the same team. There is no opposition voice.

The white socialist utopists in Portland and their ideologues sprinkled throughout the state are an unstoppable cancer. They look down their nose at ordinary Americans. Unfortunately the people moving here in droves are more of the same.

All I can think of is "head in the sand", this is so far from reality, it is laughable! Idaho in NOT a conservative sanctuary, it has been invaded by a very liberal mentality and is well on it's way to becoming a Blue state. Don't let the last election results fool you. It is very purple, thanks to ALL the emigrants! Newbies are being played by the politicians and realtors!

My stated reason for moving, when asked by Gem Staters, was I want to leave Western Oregon before the Cascadia mega quake - - which is one of the several reasons spurring my desire to relocate. I have in-laws and two friends who live in ID so I feel I have a reasonable understanding of the political climate.

Idaho was the best of the alternatives available because the decision was not mine alone to make. Some of the alternatives suggested by my wife were PA, VA, and NM.

In my, albeit limited experience, not everyone moving to Idaho is a socialist. The new neighbors next door in ID are conservatives who left California. I have three friends who are conservatives and are actively looking for new homes in ID. They will be leaving WA.

I'm going to say, a LOT of guns captured from bangers, thugs, robbers and creeps have no serial numbers. They HAD numbers, but they were obliterated.

I understand, but that is hardly what they are going after... I wish it was, but it's not. Everytown wants all guns to disappear. Like that can ever happen, so they are just going after guns in the hands of law abiding citizens by fraudulently claiming that 80% lowers are being illegally sold.

In a democracy by convenience - i.e., states that put certain decisions out to public popular referendum vote - elected officials choose which decisions to abdicate to popular opinion and which decisions they themselves will make behind closed doors for the common good, i.e., they know what is best for us on certain things. anyway, we get what we vote for, right.

Everytown for Gun Safety is an American nonprofit organization which advocates for gun control and against gun violence. Everytown was created in 2013 when Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America joined forces. Everytown for Gun Safety is largely financed by Michael Bloomberg

None of any of those orgs platforms has anything to do with guns in the hands of criminals.

Let us not forget that Everytown was formed from the ashes of Sandy Hook. It is solidly in their ideology that the mere possession of firearms leads to gun violence.

I was referring to the lawsuit that has been enjoined. Where they state that the reason 80% lowers should be prohibited by court ruling the ATF must reverse course is that those lowers represent a "grave danger"... if in court, you have to prove it. Or maybe not.
