I was living in Western Washington for a few years and just moved to Keizer to be closer to my kids.
Some things about me:

I'm a full time student ( industrial design manor)
Army vet (Afghanistan)
Prior LEO ( Federal Park Ranger)

Sold guns at Cabelas for 2 years

...2nd the suggestion for joining ARPC. Depends on how the drive is for you vs how much you'd use it. Definitely worth a look see.

That gun club is farther than I want to drive for what it can offer me. I need a long range... Range. It looks like it only goes to 200.
Are the Any places around to shoot long range? Meaning past 500 yards. I would drive to be able to do that.

Douglas Ridge Rifle Club (DRRC) is the only one around that I know of. Never been, but it's suppose to be pretty nice.

600 & I think 1000, but only on particular days, as they have to close the regular rifle range.

Oh, & I forgot to mention Tritac indoor range. They're open again at there original location in NE Salem. Nice guys, in case you wanted to get a quick / convenient pistol shoot in.
