Just got my Small Game license today

We had an old Remington 1100 in .16 gauge, that little auto put a ton of birds on the table, sure wish I knew what happened to it it wasn't anything special to look at, but it sure brings back lots of memories! Ridding the good of Grand Paws Jeep and shooting Ringnecks that we flushed and our old Golden Retriever retrieving them jumping into the back of the Jeep to drop the bird, then bounding up to the hood to sit and watch! Nothing like The Look from your dog when you missed!

And it was a head shot too!

That's too bad about the prohibition on pellet rifle for hunting. I don't get what the problem/objection with it might be...

Yep...not sure of the "Why" here either...I have no doubt that a .177 or .22 or such would work at 50 or less yards...

I'm not sure what I'll be taking grouse hunting this year. I usually bring a rifle and a shotgun. For sure, I'm bringing my CZ SxS 20ga. As far as what rifle, maybe my CZ455 or my 77/22. The CZ has a scope, the Ruger is irons.

I hunt Grouse with my Buckmark pistol.

Looks to be a good year for grouse. We must've seen 15 to 20 of them when out bear hunting on Thursday. Season doesn't open for another month here though. We didn't see any bears, but we did call in a nice cow elk using a "calf in distress" call while trying to draw in a bear. Once elk season gets here, I have no doubt we'll call in a bear while trying to call elk. Happens most years.
