The #1 community for gun owners of the Pacific Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.

Just bought a RAM 2500 cummins. Questions for those of you in Multnomah
Waiting for it to get shipped.. It appears that these diesels do not have to be emissions tested in Portlandia? Can anyone confirm or deny this? I may have to live up there for 6-9 months. /cringe Any RAM owners with tips are welcome to pipe in as well.
For the areas in Oregon requiring DEQ testing, you can sign the above statement saying your diesel vehicle is over 8500 lbs GVW. I've had multiple diesel pickups, and I've never had to be tested. But, each renewal-year I have to re-certify my rig is over the limit. You'd think they'd keep it in the DMV records.
My editorial...With the increased mileage-robbing emission gimmicks that were used til fairly recently on diesel pickups, and now the requirement for urine to be injected into the exhaust to reduce emissions, I can't help but fear DEQ will figure out a way to include diesel pickups into their cash cow.
