That's pretty cool. Goes to show what a quality 1911 can be. Now I want to see other pistols do the same and see what they had to replace and do over those service lives.
 
Stumbled upon this, (marketing pitch aside) thought it was interesting.. the fairly 'straight forward' pistol seems to have held up fairly well all things considered...

Nice, reminds me I should order up some springs for my 1911's. Never have changed them since I bought the 2 I have now and have no idea how many rounds. Will have to order up some from Wolf.
 
Didn't click but I'm pretty sure some of the original 1911 tests only replaced broken, not worn, parts and they did some good round counts.
