I was down in Eugene this weekend having lunch with el in-laws and found myself wandering into a sale at Joe's.
They had Mossberg semiauto .22s for $99.99 (I almost bought one just for ships and giggles) and boxes of blue Federal bulk packs for $9.99 after rebate (one rebate per receipt).
I was able to buy 2,200 copper-plated .22 rounds for under $40.00. I have a 10/22 that is a great plinker when fed a diet of cheap federal ammo. It may not print micro groups all day long using the cheap Federal stuff, but at 50 yards it'll keep a golf ball hopping like a cat on a hot tin roof.
They had some more long guns on sale (I think I saw a good deal on 870 pumps in camo), but I didn't look too long as I was on my way to a tour and free beers at Ninkasi Brewery (one must stop there if you like beer, especially FREE beer).
