Is there one here?
People have posted jobs they have offered or ones they know of but that's it I believe.
Is that what you mean?
We have this as well.
No I was looking for one that people know of or places looking to hire.
That would be a very useful thread.
Here are a couple LE jobs if anyone is interested, openly hiring currently
Washington County Sheriff
Maintenance job at a local milk plant day shift Union pay. Ammonia experience help full & tig welding.
PM me and I will tell you where to go. It's in Portland
I think a job thread would be great. I currently work in the medical field but I've been taking cnc, manual lathe and mill classes for manufacturing because I'd really like to get into the firearms field. Unless you know people its really hard to find jobs in that field since they are rarely ever advertised. I also have my dpsst and work nights when I'm not in the clinic. A Job post is a great idea I hope one happens.
I'm moving to Beaverton area soon. Been a CNC machinist for five years. And hoping to land a programmer/setup guy. Is it really hard to find CNC manufacturing jobs without knowing anyone? I'm a hard worker, good at what I do, and would love to learn more. And a jobs jobs offered/service offered forum would be great. I've used the calguns.net before and I liked it a lot.
I think this would be a great thread to have. I work for a commercial hvac company in Portland and we are STARVING for people. If anybody has hvac experience and is looking to jump ship or not working , feel free to pm me.
As always - School Bus Drivers - most every district.
In most cases, if you do not have a CDL, they will pay to train you.
If the bus driving doesn't work out, you still have a CDL.
It is a part time job, for most.
C'mon, WA guys!
too many commifornia people taking jobs up here...
This is a variation on a theme I see over and over again. XYZ company desperate for people to work in entry level position. Must have 25 years experience.
Some might think this a lame job, but when I was laid off in 2000 I signed up with First Student and got my CDL thru them. I have to say, it was the most rewarding job I have ever had making sure the rugrats got to and fro in a safe manner as I would for my kids and grandkids. But then again, I like kids so it was good from that standpoint. Middle and High School kids are a challenge though.
Depends. Journeymen SM workers are in demand as well as apprentices. Journeymen level is at $37+ right now.
That's not bad at all. How long until one is considered Journeyman qualified?
SM = sheet metal?? Can you elaborate?
In the Portland area, contact Sheet Metal Workers Local 16
This is a list of Union Contractors in the area
