Well, just to be fair - you COULD possibly shoot down an airplane with an AR.

IF the plane was old enough
IF you were close enough and
IF you managed to hit just the right component.

You'd have a better chance of winning the lottery with the way planes are built now.

Now, you could blow up a train

IF you were close enough AND
IF there was a car carrying a whole lot of unstable explosives AND
IF there was a jar of Tannerite where a round could be hit AND
IF you could hit it.

Again, way more likely to win the lottery than to come into a scenario like that. LOL
