I just got a Jericho pistol with a frame mounted safety, not a decocking lever. The pistol is SA/DA, but I don't know how to put down the hammer with a round chambered. I prefer to carry round chambered, decocked. Is it possible with this pistol or will I have to carry with the hammer cocked?
Thumb the hammer down, that is what I do with my pre-B CZ-75. If that is too scary for you, one thing some people do is put their thumb between the hammer and the firing pin (so it is touching both), pull the trigger, and slowly roll it out of the way. I just do it with my thumb on the serrations on the top of the hammer. It was kinda freaky the first few times but then I got used to it and now it is like second nature.
