Here today I have a fairly interesting firearm. This is a Japanese Type I (literally "i" for Italian, not the numeral one). The Italians made these on contract for the Japanese between 1937 and 1938, actual number of production seem to vary but general consensus say about 60,000 we made. This gun was a war bring back. After I purchased it I cleaned it up a bit and it's been in my closet since. It shoots the 6.5x50 Jap round, and has a Type 99 style two piece stock.
