This is a set of three swords that I brought back when I was visiting my uncle in Spain.

My Spanish is a little rusty, can you answer:
- what type of steel is the blade?
- what type of metal is the guard?
- what type of wood is the tsuka and saya?

- what is the length of the katana's blade and tsuka?
- is the samegawa ray skin? Does it include an emperor node?
- is the wrap silk/cotton?
- can you get good photos of the mekugi? Looking to know if there are one or two and to observe the taper.
- is there any perceptible movement or rattle to any component in the assembled sword?
- have any of these been test cut/sharpened?
- have they been stored properly? Is there any rust?

thanks,

I'm afraid I'm not gonna know a lot of that stuff about these particular ones, they're from Spain they're not Japanese..
I can tell you that they do not have any rust and no broken tips

No worries. You're a bit far for me to come check them out. GLWS!

I do have an actual Japanese wakashi that's 400 years old but I doubt if anyone would want to pay for something like that here on this page since it's primarily about firearms...
