I don't know about the market, as far as "collectable ammo" goes.

I buy ammo, to shoot it.

That being said.....
The 40s Russian stuff is corrosive ammo and might just have some hangfire issues.

Yeah. So then....how old is too old?

With ammo.......age is not a universal thing. Some surplus was stored under excellent conditions. While with some other ammo.....maybe, not so much. Not even mentioning the can or no can storage factor. Then of course, it's not only about a storage issue. Sometimes it's just bad quality stuff. And so.....do I really want to buy some ammo from Egypt, Pakistan or Iran, etc....? Or if it came out of arsenal in Nepal? Cough, cough....

So then.....that all being said.....
If I were selling to a shooter....
I wouldn't expect much. Well, not as much as ammo say if it were "younger".
