From what I understand, a member was unloading a rifle from his vehicle up at the rifle portion of the range and shot himself in the chest.

A veteran town policeman fatally shot himself, apparently while pulling a rifle muzzle first from his truck.

I did not know this gentleman. I assume he knew how to handle firearms, and had a series brainfarts that led to this accident.

Be careful. Don't get casual. Check yourself for stupid behavior with firearms. Stay sharp.
