    Is it hammered or hammerless?

    .32 S & W or .32 S & W Long?

    Barrel length? Round butt or square butt? Rubber or walnut stocks?

    Generally, on IJ revolvers, there is at least minor but generally significant nickel flaking. It would be nice to get an idea of condition.

    By what method have you determined it's age (other than knowing that production commenced in 1890's?).

    Photos would help, if you could attach one or two.

    Natty,
    I will have pictures on here later today but answer some of your questions;
    It is hammered
    The plating is worn near the barrel and wheel but not flaking
    The grips are black and material is unknown to me.

    Under the grips and stamped on the bottom of the butt is the mfg date of Jun 1996 to Aug 1996 and a serial number.

    I will try to get pictures of the mfg date.

    Thanks
