Iver Johnson 22

Hi guys, My dad has a Iver Johnson 22lr that resembles a M1A and he is considering trading or selling it. Other than it is missing the rear sight it is in really good shape. We have done some research and can't find a value on the thing. The reason the rear site is missing, is when he bought it new he had a scope mounted on it and he assumes they kept the rear sight. Is there anywhere to find a rear sight for these things. like I said he bought it new when Larrys was near the Burnside and 223rd intersection in Gresham. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again he isn't completely sure what he wants to do yet keep/trade/sale. Thanks again.

No, the rear site fits the grooved reciever and uses one of the holes for a set screw (second pic).

An M1 carbine uses a dovetail mount. (first pic).
