I guess beauty is in the eye of the holder cause I think the SR series (especially the compact) are some fine looking firearms.

And I find that isn't a whole lot better looking then a Hi-point.

Not ragnging on the gun but I do wonder if some one would please enlighten me, what is the appeal to ruger auto's. I have owned and enjoyed their wheel guns, just do not understand the auto's.

they are going to make a 1911?

They work.
They're affordable.
For me, ergonomics are spot on.
Accurate.
Not a glock.
17+1.
Light.
Slim.
Reliable.
My Sr9 has 3k rounds thru it? Now.
I don't see the problem.
