Is There Any Place Open to Go Play in the Snow and Shoot?

After the fires almost everything was gated off or closed for public access around my area (Stayton). I'm wanting to take the kids to play in the snow and let them do some shooting while up there.

I wonder if wildcat mountain has any snow yet. Seemed it always got snow early and stayed later in the spring

The Jefferson wilderness has snow. We always go there to get our Christmas trees after Thanksgiving.

I've never thought of going up to the snow to shoot. I bet it muffles the sound nicely. Anyone know any good spot on Mt. Hood or Adams?

Well, I think many of the places people would go in The Mt Hood Ntl Forest are likely close because of the fires.

Found a little this weekend! Didn't go too high as my friend thought his Chev would get stuck, LOL. Kids had a blast and my buddy was given his first AR for a birthday present.
