I have been trying to find a public range that goes out to 200. Trying to get my new 300 win mag with a vx6 sighted in. I have been on tri county's waiting list since June of last year. Any help would be great.

While not public, Clark Rifles is open to the public on Sundays (per their web-site). I haven't been there in a couple of years but if I remember correctly their rifle range is set for 100, 200 & 300 yards.

Here is a link to their web-site: http://clarkrifles.com/index.htm

Just FYI, a friend finally became a member of TCGC after almost 2 years on the wait list. YMMV, but you might have another year or so to wait.

Waiting a year to shoot a gun?
    Screw that!
    Use public lands!
Get a rangfinder and 10 or so filled milk jugs with water and food coloring.

Not sure about OR, but according to WA DNR you can't shoot anything that wasn't designed to be a target. Including cans, jugs, etc.

But they are so much funner to shoot!

I do practice picking up all my trash tho and know that a lot don't, so I can see the reason for the law

I would love see a ticket for that.
As long as you clean up your mess it shouldnt matter.
Leave the scene cleaner than when you found it... dang boy scouts crammed it into my mind years ago.

I'm pretty sure 20oz water bottles were designed to be targets. :)

I'll just put a new label on them "Target Water" and then they can't cite me.

Go buy blocks of ice.... or better yet make your own and take them with you.

Douglas Ridge Rifle club has a 200 yard range, and up to 1000 yards on Thursdays. Not public but the dues are affordable, it is a nice outfit.

I have looked at Douglas it is really far out for me to visit enough to make it worth being a member. Im 10 minutes away from Tri County.

    Thanks for all the responses.
