Intro: New Gun Owner

Hello,

I am from Salem, Oregon and just recently have bought my first two firearms before Thor's unjust hammer smacks down on us poor Oregonians. I have been a huge 2A supporter my whole life but didn't grow up around guns. Come from a conservative family but grew up in the suburbs and my parents never owned any firearms. I have since been able to shoot a few times in my life with friends and family, and now am officially a gun owner myself. M114 definitely gave me the kick in the pants to dive in so I guess I can thank them for that haha. Excited to learn and grow in my firearm knowledge. Feels very liberating to finally join the community and not just be a 2A cheerleader from the sidelines. My coworker led me to this group recently and I am excited to learn from the crazy breadth of knowledge you all have to share.

This is the best place to hang out on the internet.

Check out the organized clean ups. It's the best way to meet the community and learn where and how to use public lands responsibly.

We are doing non ODF supported cleanups at public forests - check the North Fork Wolf Creek Road thread in resources.
