This hits home especially hard because I grew up in Chicago, once a great world-class city. Chicago, Cook County and the State of Illinois have some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation.
So, the next time you have an opportunity to debate gun laws with a grabber, try this out for size. It's plain as day to those of us who apply common sense to the issue of violent crime and gun control, but liberals tend to not let facts and figures get in the way of a good feeling:

No one involved in the gun control debate, at least on the grabbers' side of the issue, wants to acknowledge the 600-pound gorilla in the room:
Most gun crimes are committed, not by citizens, but by gangster thugs with no respect for the law.
Political correctness is a plague on our society, and where's a good community organizer when you need one???
