Round 2 is in the books. Somehow managed 1k pounds even. Felt like we made progress today even though there is a bunch of loads to go.

The clean area. That is a pile still to go in the back.

3 more areas like this then the crap in the trees.

And the dump bill.

This is atrocious! Isn't this place quite a few miles out? West of Philomath? This looks like the same kind of rubbish that builds up around here, IN potland, around the homeless vehicles parked on the streets. Who drives tat far out do do this?

Is this the pit you guys have been cleaning?

@Mikej Yes it is out a ways. Close to 40 minutes from Philomath. It was a full blown neighborhood I think. Dont know where all the clothes came from. I would say people were living there and what is left is stolen stuff they couldnt get money for. Found an electric skill saw in one of the piles yesterday and a bread maker. Even parts of a bowflex. No needles so far though.

Sad that Benton County Sheriff and/or ODF doesn't check these place and get those bastards out of there.

It is actually in Lincoln county by a few feet I was told. It is BLM property. Just about went into a somewhat political rant but typed it then deleted.
But in a comment on Shooting on public land forum, Tracy and I did get to enjoy shooting the Ruger .22s yesterday after cleaning.

Happy Memorial Day.
Loads 3 and 4 are off the mountain. Load 3 was 800 plus pounds. Load 4 will go to the dump tomorrow. 2 more loads on the gravel pad before we adventure into the trees. Tracy and I think it looks a lot better. Actually ran out of trash bags today. Going to have fun the rest of the weekend. Will finish the gravel pad next weekend.

After cleanining. The pile here filled the trailer.

What is left on the gravel pad after today.
Half of todays bill

What is left in the trees still. Need some Chlorox in the gene pool. Dressers, cabinets, vhs and dvd movies along with a lot of misc stuff.

Above and beyond! You and Tracy are 'Animals'! Way to go!

Gee, man, you need a bigger trailer! And one with a hydraulic dump on it!

Wow, that's quiet a chore you two took on.

I hope you received the Trash No Land check to cover the disposal costs for the last 3 dump runs. I'll wait for another one or two receipts before I send another. I'm glad our organization is in a position to help.

I was at the big gravel pit up on the mountain last Saturday, this is the one that always has a bunch of garbage left by slob shooters that I usually take a bag out after policing brass. Funny thing though, I could not find one piece of trash or anything that day because they blew it up to get more gravel. LOL

Great idea, Jim! We could start a viral trend with that. The new way to remove trash from public lands...

BLOW IT UP!!!

A helluva lot more fun than picking it up!

Yeah 55 gallon barrels of tannarite at the center BAWOOOOOOM!!!
Indeed that would be Mucho fun my friend. And it could be a catchy jingle to get people involved, hey let's go blow up some trash. Lol

@Caveman Jim , are you signed up for the Sultan Basin Rd cleanup?

I tried sending emails about events and news, through our blog, but I think it keeps getting bounced back. If you have a new email address and still want the news letter, try the subscribe form on the TNL website.

Thanks,
Bill
