This thread as so often happens shows me why we have the mess we have. Look how many want to pretend the current administration had nothing to do with what is going on now. Propaganda works because so many people will believe anything they want to believe. You can show them a video of something and if they do not like it, and talking heads tell them it did not happen? They will watch the video and tell you with a strait face it did not happen. So we get just what we deserve. :s0092:

Like or not, Trump was the first to introduce stimulus checks before Biden.
Although accurate - Trump was not the state and local government politicians that shut down people’s livelihood “legally” barring them from earning money to pay their bills for more than a year.

There was no perfect solution, printing magic money was a bad choice, but forcing people not to be able to pay their bill was 100% on local and state governments, not on Trump.

I wasn't saying that Biden doesn't share a part of the blame, or that the local governments aren't Problem. I was merely pointing out that Biden isn't completely to blame.

By no means do I support Biden whatsoever. But taking the taking points of the media and blaming the other side completely may be misguided.

Facts to acknowledge:

#1 Trump is not a perfect president, but he had some good qualities and often made decisions that seemed to be in the best interests of the country.

#2 If we zoom out more and acknowledge that Trump was subverted his entire presidency, even before his election to presidency, by bad actors and the deep state swamp, that all the allegations that were daily news 24/7 all turned out to be lies. Those same bad actors and deep state entities don’t give a single crap about Americans and willfully encouraged the country to burn and suffer just to make Trump’s re-election chances less likely. Then we can more confidently and accurately say that the blame rests squarely on those entities. Collectivist ideology (leftism, communism, socialism, etc) is the enemy of liberty and incompatible with American virtue.

Biden is nothing but a face, a puppet, he never had an original idea his entire life. We don’t even know who the acting president is because we don’t get to see who is the person telling Biden what to do and say all the time. I blame that whole party - they pushed a dementia addled man through candidacy because their platform is so week and their party so terrible that they couldn’t use anyone else - and then they had to fix it regardless.

People were being forced not to work for months on end, bills still had to be paid. That was all done on state and local levels, and I personally believe it was by design to sink the country to such a low before the election that Biden’s promises to magically fix things would garner sufficient votes. Even though they were empty words, but for the masses of idiots - empty promises work.

$10 hike in pricing between periods of availability.

OTOH, Blazer Brass 9mm was only $17, down a couple bucks Christmas sale price I suppose

I ride dirtbikes on the weekend, I buy a new helmet every September, always the same one, a fox v1 xl.
Been running $98 to $119 for at least five years.

2021 price is $189

That is 58%

I see these crazy 40% PLUS increases on many many household items as well.

Believe the 6% figure if you like.

Here is a good description of why what you described, happens

This is the worst part of the whole thing. We don't have a person that is "The President". There's a Cabal. Completely hidden in the shadows. None of them can be specifically identified. They are not available to answer questions. They cannot be made responsible, charged with crimes, arrested, or thrown in jail.

It hurts the brain.

Gun and ammo prices are also exempt when calculating inflation too, just like food and energy. All the good things in life.
Ammo, tobacco, sugar and alcohol - four of the essential food groups, are not included in inflation calculations.
This wasn't caused by just this administration or the last. It's been coming a long time, since before Nixon, and *all* politicians are responsible.
Here are just a few that exacerbated it:
  • The shift to supply side economics without proper structures in place to prevent us from becoming the 2nd Weimar Republic.
  • Clinton selling the soul of this nation (manufacturing) to China to avoid the reckoning that needed to be done with the EPA and labor. CEOs falling over themselves to export jobs and technology there, combined with accounting shenanigans to bolster their stock and diamond encrust their parachutes...
  • The continued tolerance of drugs in our society, the multi-billion dollar drug trade deficit per year and the costly effect on society...
  • W and the sandbox was a hideous, long term financial mistake. Saddam Hussein and Muammir Ghaddafi were two of the greatest destabilizing forces in Islamic politics - by our actions eliminating them, we became a lightening rod and the single greatest recruiter for terrorism in the world.
  • BHO and the bailout, which was really a ruse for repaying China for their 1.76 Trillion in junk bonds
  • I was deeply disappointed in Trump's fiscal glibness and annual budget deficit - seemed he was on a juggernaut to bankrupt us. But hey, how many times did he declare bankruptcy?
  • I am staggered by the willingness of our congress to toss trillions over the fence. WTF? Seems government has lost its mind and has the attention span of a gnat.
But oh yeah, it's Black Friday - Cyber Monday weekend. Where's my credit card?

Inflation is government caused. Once you run out of money they will own everything. It's part of the commie takeover of our country. Only way to stop inflation is to get the thugs out of government and have honest people take over.

Sadly that is not going to happen. As you see in this thread you have many who still believe what is happening now is NOT something the current administration did. They make all kinds of excuses and really believe its just dumb bad luck that all is falling apart now after the decisions made by this administration. Translation,: they voted for and supported this change, so now that they got what they wanted and its turning into an unmitigated disaster it is not really the fault of the people they put in. Instead its all the fault of many previous administrations. When people simply refuse to see what is happening right in front of them you will NEVER get them to vote to stop it sadly. :s0092:

I lived through the Carter years and after he left inflation wasn't so high. Brandon is driving inflation up to destroy the middle class financially. It's part of the mandate for the jab to put fear in folks over their work and world . Inflation is a tool of government and Brandon is adding it to the rest of his tyranny.

I would like to remind everyone that we have rule that states :

Religious and non-firearm political content is prohibited.

Lets bring the discussion back around to how inflation is affecting firearm and firearm related items.....
Thank you.
Andy

Did you enjoy sitting in those gas lines on odd or even days to get your 10gallon limit? My dad would send me down with the car to sit in line. Good old Jimmay…the man who was attacked by a rabbit.
