This is the result of Socialism, yup the same Socialism leaders of the Democrat party seem to be embracing...

Under Socialism your leaders become your Rulers, and your Rights become privileges that can be revoked at their whim. They won't need to worry about how they will be fed, housed, protected, etc.. because they get to live like kings. No mystery why so many of our leaders push this nonsense, but it's interesting how many of them claim to be "for the people".

Disclaimer: I have not read all 6 pages, so if this has been brought up, just chalk it up to laziness on my part.
My question to the SJWs who advocate for socialism:
If it has never been done right, what are you planning to do that's different/right, Buttercup? Seems to me that every possible permutation has been tried and failed. Even (especially?) when they start out with great resources they turn it into a soup sandwich. The universal answer has been to crank up the printing of "money" until they have to use exponential notation to designate the value of their banknotes. Is that what geniuses like Senorita Ocasio-Cortez and Ms. Jayapal propose?

I think we should send them all on a permanent field trip to Venezuela. The truth is that they delude themselves with greed thinking they can have everything now instead of working and saving to get it. Many of them also know deep down that it's a disaster for most, but surely activists like themselves will become important members of the new regime. Under Socialism you have three fundamental layers:
  1. Puppet Masters/The Political Class
  2. Wanna be Puppet Masters/Useful Idiots/Can't believe later they are layer 3 peasants (who they are EXTREMELY unpopular with)
  3. Peasants

I work with a guy who is from Denmark (I am originally from Canada). We have some interesting conversations about the realities of socialism. Taxation and healthcare are two shining examples.

I was in a 54% tax bracket (combined Federal and State equivalent) when I left BC in 1994. He was in a 63% tax bracket in Denmark. Chew on those numbers for a while. You get to keep less than half of what you earn. Those percentages don't apply to everyone but they're not limited to the 1% 'ers either. I'd guesstimate it at a 70/30 rule (or even a 60/40 rule now) where 30%-40% see extremely-high tax rates.

There is a difference between what Denmark does, and what State Socialism does.
Biggest one.... Denmark still is a capitalist economy.... what they do is basically Social Democracy; in which yes there are some common things such as social programs and very high taxation rates, BUT it is still a capitalist economic system....whereas Socialism is determined by State ownership of economy and production, and while it does have State ownership of social programs, it does so by having the State control the entire economy top to bottom.... In short, everyone gets the same amount of "necessities", and no one in theory should have more than another, except of course for the people in power

The FDR era New Deal is far closer to what Denmark practices, than what Venezeula practices. THAT is the largest comparison I can think of.

Well said, but notice how the MSM reports the surge in Democratic Socialists without defining just what that means. Meanwhile the story in Venezuela is that butchers now sell rotted meat since refrigeration is no longer reliable due to power outages and most people can't afford it while fresh. Most is either cut into chunks for stewing or ground with just enough fresh meat to make it edible. Read here if you have the stomach for it: Desperate Venezuelans are forced to eat rotten meat for two terrible reasons

And BTW before anyone thinks that FDR's vision for America was all that and a bag of chips I suggest you read the very heavily researched and footnoted "The Forgotten Man". Many aspects of his administration were never taught to me in school such as sending his advisory council to the Soviet Union to meet with Stalin in order to get ideas on how to transform the US economic system, test communes in New Mexico, packing the Supreme Court via Executive Order to increase the number of Justices, etc. He was far left of how he was later portrayed. World War 2 likely saved us from becoming Venezuela in the 1940's or early 1950's.

whereas Socialism is determined by State ownership of economy and production,

Sounds like Communism... what is the difference? IDK. USSR had "Socialist" in it's name but was Communist... did they really have communes? I don't get it!

They, MSM, don't know. The Democratic Socialists don't know. And especially, the kids coming up in the world don't know.

Vladimir Lenin/Quotes
Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.
The goal of socialism is communism.
A lie told often enough becomes the truth.

One man with a gun can control 100 without one

read the very heavily researched and footnoted "The Forgotten Man".

When I have time & the willpower, I will read that. Thanx for the share!!!
I once read a book about the narcissm of LBJ... WOW! He was special.

Y'all just wait, We have a Socialist waiting in the wings that makes Hillory look tame, Elizabeth Warren! That B%^$&^ has some serious plans for US if she gets any where near the power she is seeking. She Demands total Private Property seizures with out compensation and she has found enough support to make a serious run at it. Think about it, the end of private ownership of any thing and you are now a tool, a worker bee to the system with no bargaining power. Most of us are in the 35% Bracket, no imagine that rising to 50% or higher, and still having to pay for every thing your self!

Socialism, has some very admiring qualities. It allows the status quo of the powerful elite to be defines by the state, often painting a world picture how ever they choose. In the USA it is a constant struggle to define the nations direction and who wills the power this can make negotiations with us troublesome. However a socialist country and very clear to see their abilities as they are only allowed to be observed by a very narrow view. Communism, of the modern age removed all elitist views and replaces them with the government policy. The closer you get to Communism, the more powerful the state becomes and hence are better at negotiations world wide. This is of course at the loss of all freedoms of every kind. The spiral here has begun.

I'm still trying to figure out how FDR got away with the gold confiscation? I wasn't taught anything about that in public indoctrination camp......I mean school. I've seen passing mention of it in various places over the years but never an in depth explanation.

We were taught in the early 70's that FDR was all but a god. It was decades before I realized it was indoctrination. I remember seeing a picture of a toilet seat used as a picture frame for FDR's portrait in a book about Timberline Lodge and didn't understand it fully until I read The Forgotten Man.

10 Survival Rules When Society Collapses: Lessons from Venezuela

Survival Rules When Society Collapses | Prepper Website

This trip, however, taught me that I never want to go back to my homeland again. It's just too dangerous. It also made me evaluate my preparations as a prepper and I realized that most of the food buckets I acquired lack meat and protein. I've now started to add just meat and protein to my preps. Also, I have now made sure that I have four years of everything I need on a personal basis for my wife, myself and kids. Everything from tampons, cold medicine, razors, toothpaste, trash bags and I have even purchased two cases of lice spray.

I telecommute, so as I go to get lunch or coffee I get to hear what's on daytime TV. The women's talk shows are pushing and sugarcoating Democratic Socialism like crazy. Truly engage your stay at home wives on this - what's going on is blatant propaganda designed to get women to vote "the right way".

It all sounds great until you wind up trapping your neighbor's cat while he's out stalking your dog. While you are doing that God only knows what your wife is doing to get a tampon or a roll of toilet paper.

Take a look at VENEZUELA .AND LOOK AT SEATTLE .THIS IS OR FUTURE .
buy guns ammo and food and water be prepared to fend for yourself . it's coming .
The Government WON'T be able to help you when it all falls apart
Just remember the LA riots. Korean shop owners were on their rooftops with guns protecting their businesses. Luckily, the riots didn't last too long. However, the government wasn't there to protect anyone and we quickly forget about that brief he'll on earth.
