I work for a gym franchise with pools, spa, sauna and steam rooms and the third world people who come in use it as a bathhouse.

It is disgusting. They spit all over, shave in the hot tub, steam and sauna, clip toe nails,

I watched this video some time ago:
Several others from those two also bring the culture differences into a clear focus, and they make it understandable from a western perspective.
The takeaway is that the government is in control of everything, absolving anyone of any responsibility. They also don't want initiative, and initiative plus responsibility ensures that people take care of the world around them. If a Chinese man sees a child dying on the side of the road, he man will not take the child to the hospital because then he has to pay. The lack of personal responsibility is also why the idea of a product warranty is a foreign concept; it implies that you have responsibility after the product leave your control.
That said, the folks cooking the toxic mush have no concern for anyone else, and it's a perfectly normal attitude to have. Just accept it and move on.

What an incredibly fresh way to do a video! Fantastic. The message really hits home though. I see this attitude in my own neighborhood, where I've owned for just short of 19 years. My next door neighbor, when we bought our home, took immaculate care of his 1940s home. Washed the vinyl siding every year, kept his truck clean, weird river rock instead of grass front yard neat, etc. Same for the nice family next to him. Both families have sold and moved. Both homes are owner occupied. Both yards look like bubblegum all year. The one house has a middle school TEACHER owning it. The other house you can't see the river rock because the weeds/grasses were allowed to take it over. We may not be socialist China yet. But the attitude of the younger generation is that they don't give one crap about the way they take care of things. So it figures they're probably Bernie Sanders types, or one of the other believers in everything they need should be paid for by someone else.

You see that attitude of the people in that vid all over up in NE. The roads in neighborhoods that are 100 YO concrete, dirt roads still. We don't have full-on socialism/communism yet, but the roots are growing healthy as we type here.

I was actually looking for another specific video by these guys, a bit longer though, where they talked about a light bulb in an elevator that never got replaced. Everyone complained about the bulb, but nobody felt inclined to take the initiative to do it themselves. It was always someone else's job.

You can already see this already at large political events. Conservative leaning events clean up after themselves, and at worst, all the trash is all brought to overflowing cans. At left leaning events trash is everywhere. And that's an understatement!

It's unnerving watching that video and see so many places in America that are progressing to what these parts of China are now.

YES.....mind you that in many countries MAKING MONEY is the main concern.

(Watch the Post #28 video.)

But then, IF I were taking a trip to China, I don't/wouldn't trust the corrupt Chinese FDA equivalent either.

LOL....

But then, I just got back from VN. Yes, watching food prep there, can turn your stomach. And for the record, a lot of VN people (that I've talked to) have very little "good things" to say about Chinese food products. Yup, they watch YouTube too.

VN early morning food prep. Yummy, yummy.....good for your tummy!

Aloha, Mark

PS....but then, I didn't travel to VN to experience this.

It's not fake. Here is a vid from someone who actually lived in China until recently. Apparently only a problem on some street side eateries.

His line at about 6:19..." Let's see if we can find a really dodgy looking one". The whole place is dodgy looking! The streets? Do the sweepers come through at 3:00 am and sweep up the rubbing? Mmm, thinking not.
