Their supplier?
I loved my Shield 40 and recommend them highly, but this looks like a passing the buck. Not that S&W isn't standing behind the faulty guns, but they sure made a point to let us all know it "wasn't them".

Agreed. They have their own incoming parts inspection team and the fault of using the parts is still on S&W.
