Portland elected official not only created this nightmare, they enabled and supported it. Yet Portland voters still support these elected officials. So, Portland Voters own it and they can live with it.
I don't think that this is what they had in mind when they told everyone to that Portland is safe and open for business trying to convince people to visit downtown!

I don't live in Portland, so I don't really pay any attention to who the (metro) city officials are.

I just looked up who (D.A.)Mike Schmidt is. That douchenozzle(for lack of better family-friendly term) is in way over his head. The Portland voters elected this turd?

I've faintly heard about this one, but decided to look her up too. Oh man, it's really difficult to have any empathy for the majority of Portland voters that put these jackwagons at the helm of city government.

Is it just me or does anyone out there think it is a bit strange that the shootings across the country on a regular basis plus a rise in the shootings in Portland and other places seem to have taken off right after the jo-ho inaguration? We're seeing out of the area people involved and I will always believe that some of the "powers that be" (read that commie gun grabbers) are funding much of this in order to advance their agenda. I know that Portland has been the home of domestic terrorism for the last year and a half but it didn't seem to be at the current level. Someone is footting the bill and I don't think it takes a lot of rocket science to figure out who it might be. I can't help but think that this is fodder for them to justify nullifying 2A. All they need is a minor adjustment to the SCOTUS and they are home free and they will get a free ride in the media and the sheeple will bail on. Eastern Europe 1935?

I've been following reported Pdx shootings for a while and in the past we would have about 10 or so shootings per week. The map below is an example which shows a 10 day period in august 2019.

In contrast, there have been 15 shootings and 4 assault with weapons just tonight (see below).

Also 2021 homicides are 8 times higher than last year at this time.

Interesting (to me anyway) that so many of these "random acts of gun violence" are very near the 205. I'm wondering just how "random" a lot of this. Easy for a "random perpetrator" to hop off the 205, shoot the heck out of an area, and the head right back and on to the next "random" stop before any 1st responders have even started showing up to these "random" scenes.

A few years back I was looking at a truck on Craigslist. The guy said he lived in Felony Flats. I thought it was a joke. His apartment fenced right up to 205.
