I discovered this forum checking out a gun shop in Anchorage (see post on "Ranier"). It looked bogus, and it was! Thanks to a post from another couple of members, one of whom "took one for the team" by making a purchase. It's a sham. They never delivered.
I began poking around in the threads here, and I saw a lot of content that I felt would be helpful to me, so here I am, a new member. Thanks, by the way, to the posts that helped me avoid getting taken.
I was looking for a Freedom Arms, Model 83, in .454 Casull. After passing on the Ranier sham, I went to Keith's Sporting Goods in Gresham, OR. They are a solid crew. They really know their guns, and lo and behold, they had recently acquired a used revolver. The very one I was looking for! It's a beauty. As always, the great folks there treated me in a great way, even though they are short-staffed and inundated with customers.
I am into mild collecting. Of course, the mathematical expression for the proper number of guns one has is always n + 1. Where n represents the number of firearms one has, and there is always one more out there to add to the collection. I also enjoy handgun target practice, both precision and self-defense.
