I was wondering... If the slide stop were coated in cerakote, or maybe manufactured in aluminium, would you still get the idiot scratch? Or would that solve this problem forever?

Angel, there is a good chance you could simply rub away the scratch on Cerakote.

Swim, you've read quite a few of my posts on this board. I consider myself intelligent but, I wouldn't say an "intellect." I figure my people skills are on par with most older marine grunts that have had to tolerate civilian life. In other words I have none unless I pretend the person is an officer. =)
