I'm still not sure why anyone in any state thinks they need to ask for a right that is protected by The Constitution. To defend myself, I need only to keep and bear arms. It shall not be infringed, so what is it that we need to "apply" for?

Agreed in theory.. but the reality is if you actually need to use it the fact that you have already broken one unconstitutional law will prejudice the court against you. It's your choice, make your "point" at your own risk. Reality vs theory

On a more positive note the CCW movement has resulted in several states going to Constitutional carry. You have to crawl before you can walk
