Antlers and horns are neat...and I understand the appeal to getting a Buck / Bull etc...with an impressive set of the same...But , for me , I just hope to get a nice sized , good eating critter...anything else is secondary.

Spikes & forked horns are the best eating age group for blacktails IMHO.
My first BT was an 7-8 year old deer according to the biologist who was at the check station & tough as leather....
