I'd say slim to none...kinda like all the folks who said that they move out the US after President Trump was elected.
Also starting a new country takes lots of support and a strong unity of cause....all of which is lacking here.

Beat me to it. I'm still waiting for Amy and Miley Al Sharpton etc to split for Canada

Would the State of Jefferson secede from the secessionists and apply for statehood in the USA?

The odds of secession are zero.

Maybe a more realistic question is this:

If Trump loses, what are the odds that he refuses to leave office and instead creates a giant cluster#*!% of a constitutional crisis.

How is that even possible? Do you think he'll tie himself to his desk?

I agree with the balance of comments, secession isn't in the cards.

But just to hit it from a different angle, what body would oppose it the most vehemently? The Democrat Party; without the West Coast, the Democrats will be overwhelmed at a national level for decades.

Far better for its agenda to keep the nation in tact, ride out the Trump year's and continue to flood the borders with illegal immigrants. Demographics favor the progressives; confrontation doesn't.

That being said, the re-election of Mr. Trump will of course trigger a complete meltdown of the radical elements and very likely new levels of violence.

In addition, once the expected indictments from the various IG investigations start landing, the Secret Service and MCB 8th & I (among others) had better have their collective poo wired hard. Cornered deep state rats have the potential for extreme levels of desperation...

zero. You cant print your own "state currency" because nobody outside your state would take it. Much like all the useless peso's you end up with after coming home from Mexico.

And FYI, Trump will win in an absolute landslide unless my bell Michelle gets in the race and she wont. She will in 2024 when Trump is out. She wont enter this year cause it will be too negative election and wont want to deal with it.

It'll be entertaining to see the secret service escort him out. :s0112:

How about those of us East of the Cascades secede. We will consider letting Jefferson join us.

Not at all likely. But original premise presupposes that President Trump would get re-elected. Which I doubt the establishment will permit a second time.

Nah, those states will just move to Canada. Notice they will suddenly lose their bond with the Honduran caravans...
Which is funny, because I have a lot of friends in Western Canada who are talking about secession if Soyboy the Turd keeps the PM gig this election. Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba for Cancerfornia is definitely us getting the better end of the deal...

Coincidentally just east of the fault lines for those apocalyptic thinkers. One 9.9 and those left coast greenies are going to experience sea level rise like they've never imagined.
Heh. Washington would be a red state again.;)
