I'm o the point where I believe we are let vote to see how stupid the general public is. Then they decide what programs they can get away with before we revolt.
But anymore I don't think they believe we have it in us to relovt,so they don't give a rats patutty what we think
We were given a black president so the peripheral voters ,who are tired of white males running the country will accept the same programs, the white males were trying to sell.
But now it's a black man,so it must be better cause those terrible WMs that have been running the country forever aren't in charge.
I need to pick up more tin foil tomorrow:confused:

So you'd rather have Hillery?

I can understand your frustration but we'll never get 100% of what we want. I despise the fact that Jeb sides with Harry Reid on stalling and dithering when it comes to matters of national security, but if it's between the two, I'd still have to go with him. There's something inside of me that refuses to vote for Monica Lewinskis' ex boyfriends wife.

I've been hearing this since I could first vote in 1996. What has changed? Nothing. Voting for the lesser evil is still voting for evil and at this point I see little difference between the two.

I should be worried about court justices? Please, there are plenty appointed by Repubs that have failed basic constitutional law or sanity checks. How could I vote for Jeb who is even worse than Romney? Jeb is pro mass immigration (really migration) and pro common core. Jeb's father put various gun import laws/regs into place in the early 90s. Jeb would do it in a heartbeat to look compassionate and caring. All of these politicians are selling us out.

The crown will go to the candidate who raises the most money.
A billion dollars goes a long way to buy yourself a presidency.

It's also cute when people think the GOP supports the 2nd amendment and vote blindly for anyone with an R after their name.
Just ask those folks to look at all the federal firearms laws and look who signed them.

This times 1000.

"Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts. These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people." - Mitt Romney

As Oregon voters and Washington State brothers your vote doesn't even matter. Electoral College ensures this. Kick back and watch our future unfold as our voices don't count. The next President will be decided long before our votes are even counted. This thread is meaningless. No offense to the OP. Its just the way it works.

Exactly. All politics is local. Support the recalls!

You sir, hit the nail on the head. We are too uneducated to have any say in who our next president will be. We live in Demoncrap states that are incredibly in debt because we give away too much free stuff (phones, birth control, never ending welfare) so the members of the electoral college on the west coast will pass our votes for whomever is running against the GOP. Thank god the majority of the country hasn't drank the Koolaide too! so the GOP has turned off the printing presses that the rats have left running for 7 years.....
Seen the national debt lately????

So, since I was 18, my votes have gone; Bush I, Bush I (loss-Clinton Dude), Dole (loss-Clinton Dude), Bush II, Bush II, McCain (holding nose), Romney (holding one nostril)

Does anyone else see a name or two that keeps popping up? Sweet Jesus, can we just get someone else?

The candidate won't be Bush III, name alone has soured many on him and his RINO beliefs. I do like that the Democrats, who scream that the Repubs are nothing but "old rich white men" are running an old rich white woman, an old rich white socialist and a rich white governor who taxed the rain

While the Repubs have a 2 Cuban Hispanics, and old rich white women CEO, an African American Doctor, and a (possibly) gay Senator from NC out running in the race.

Who's the party of "old rich white men" again?

Things that make you go "hmmmm...?"

Rick, with all due respect, I hope you were joshing when you wrote
"I vote each and every election and I vote alone, in the woods...".
We Need Solidarity, to defeat whatever is in the Liberal Camp.
I confess, wasn't joshing. Feeling a bit low.
I do vote, but in the big picture, my vote is countless.
I live in a suburb of Liberalville, in a blue state.
When local and state votes are tallied, mine is a minority.
Blumenauer, Wyden, Merkley, Fegan, Kitzhaber/Brown represent my beliefs not one bit.
Nationally, as in Electoral college, I am invisible, disenfranchised.

Exactly. All politics is local. Support the recalls!
This is where I'm confused by the Independents and Libertarians. How many can actually say they support the recall of Riley, when they voted for someone that would take votes away from his opposition on the Republican side? Bruce Starr is a respected and effective legislator who is strongly for our 2A rights. Yet Libertarians got behind the opposition (Caitlin Mitchel-Markley) who had no political experience, knowing that the election results this cycle would be especially meaningful.

Oldnewbie - this isn't directed at you, but rather a general comment on the recalls and trying to see if the Libertarians are really on our side.

"trump"?? No damn way

He is an also anti gun proponent. [emoji109] [emoji53]

NO HE IS NOT!

I am against gun control
At the Conservative Political Action Conference, Trump took issue with Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, the libertarian-thinking lawmaker who set some Internet fundraising records with his 2008 presidential bid. "Ron Paul cannot get elected, I'm sorry," Trump said, calling him "a good guy" who has "zero chance" of getting elected. The remark about Paul prompted some boos and screams from some in the audience, some of them Paul supporters out in force to help their candidate win CPAC's presidential straw poll for the second year in a row.
In his CPAC speech, Trump sounded many themes popular with Republican conservatives. "I am pro-life," he said. "I am against gun control."

And in one of his biggest applause lines, Trump vowed to end the nation's health care law: "I will fight to end Obamacare and replace it with something that makes sense for people in business and not bankrupt the country." Trump also pledged not to raise taxes if elected.

Dems and Reps are both wrong on guns
It's often argued that the American murder rate is high because guns are more available here than in other countries. Democrats want to confiscate all guns, which is a dumb idea because only the law-abiding citizens would turn in their guns and the bad guys would be the only ones left armed. The Republicans walk the NRA line and refuse even limited restrictions. Source: The America We Deserve, by Donald Trump, p.102 , Jul 2, 2000

For assault weapon ban, waiting period, & background check
I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today's Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72-hours if a potential gun owner has a record.

Don't know anything leading up to Riley getting in other than Bloomberg money but yeah, standing on principles behind Caitlin Mitchel-Markley probably wasn't a good idea when a stronger Republican Candidate existed who is Pro 2ndA.

Would be nice if Libertarians were a larger part of the electorate and had stronger Candidates. I lean that way myself for State issues, and hate what the progressives have done and are doing to Oregon.

Realistically, here in Oregon against the Progressive Dem machine? I'm afraid voting L is just peeling away votes from the only organization with a chance. The Republicans.

Hate the Republicans as well as Progressives?? Then getting a larger Republican opposition to the Dems would bring a nice gridlock to Salem and we could all take a breather for awhile.

I know I won't convince any Libertarians out there to Vote R but that's how I see it anyway.

BTW, is there such a thing as a Super, Super Duper Progressive Dem Majority?? And what new Laws are they scheming to pass next session for Oregon???

Isn't the answer to the OP's question obvious? Jeb Bush is enough of a gun supporter for me, in comparison to Hillary. But it is way too early for this question. There is still a very long primary season ahead of us. Stop attacking people on our team, even if they aren't starters or first-string choices.

Michael Bloomberg hs publically stated that Jeb is his favorite Republican candidate. That should say enough.
That snake probably endorsed the front runner knowing his endorsement is poison to conservative voters.
Too bad JB is the front Runner at the moment. I think he'd lose against Hillary. Early days yet and as an Oregon resident my vote won't count anyway.
