Identify this German Machine-gun?

I have a documentary about the final days of the Third Reich playing at the present. One scene showed a German position that had be knocked out. The machine-gun does not appear to be a MG-34, MG-42, or other common general purpose machine-guns of the era. Anyone know what this is? Just curious. :)

Just guessing, but this looks like one of the MGs that was used as defensive armament in aircraft, and modified for infantry use when they were desperate for equipment late in the war. Maybe the MG-15?

Interesting; not surprising as the documentary focused on the last 10 days of the war in Europe. Desperate would be an understatement.

Intriguing! A fascinating time in history, and nice catch in the MG-15!
Grand Dad got to experience this period and told of some pretty desperate things he saw!
Fanatical to the end, and look what it got them, the allies didn't treat well those it found to be such!
