These so-called disillusioned Californians are rarely able to grasp the concept that their voting record is responsible for all their reasons for leaving. This is why people in the states they are flocking to are fed up with them. If it was so bubbleguming wonderful they should have stayed put...

Beware of Mexifornians who will slither their way into your Government..

I met a person yesterday that is a recent transplant from cal. They are everywhere .Did not get into politics . But she stated they literally fled California. Worked ( blue collar ) their whole life and could not survive there any longer .and was in fear of their safety with the problems that are taking place . Being a older person it appeared she could see the real cause of the problems .When the old folks leave earth the history and hard learned lessons go with them making room for more stupidity.

Well my situation is, we paid $267,000 for our place. Built a shop, and then paid off the whole mortgage. It's worth maybe $500-550 now.
But we aren't moving. So I'd like it to be worth 1 dollar. Taxes even in county cost us about $3,000 a year now. 5 years ago was $1,100.
We don't believe in movin on up! All costs go up with that.
We were at a fixed income & content in our area..Then they moved in..They demanded a new school & Our taxes went up...They demanded new parks, roads ..
..And our taxes went up....They brought crime, drugs & we had to increase our Police Dept...And our taxes went up...They slithered their way onto our City Board
with new rules & regulations....And our taxes went up...Now I must move, too much crime, taxes, & hostile environment.

Just hope they don't turn it in to another Colorado, plenty of room in New Mexico and hell Mexico for that. Go S.E. young man
Cali transplants have definitely californicated Colorado, something that we railed against 40+ years ago. We now have lib/dem majorities in both houses of the legislature, and a homosexual transplant governor. Our rights and liberties are fading away here..
I myself am fortunate to live in a predominately conservative Republican redneck stronghold, but heaven only knows how long that will last..

The Cali TRASH has surrounded me literally. To put it nicely , I hate their guts, most are sneaky lieing underhanded disingenuous . 2 faced arrogant trash with a false sense of importance. If they are moving into your hood you might invest in a chastity belt for your dog.
Incredible, I hear ya and agree whole-heartedly. Based on my own experience with Cali slime.. even lower than scum they are. IMO

I wouldn't call it profiling but if you look at the age of the people transplanting, you can figure their motives.

For example a bunch of my classmates in the 70's right out of HS moved here.
I know for the most part a lot of 60's hippies that washed out of Hawaii moved here in the late 60's but they're now what in their 70's and the people I went to school with are pushing 60?
Most of what happened to the " Promised Land" of Kommiefornia was in the early 1980's the developers and the corporate land barons sliced up and ate their fill because the cattle industry to be outsourced to Brazil and Texas property taxes were going up and fast "proposition 13" saved a lot of families from devastation and the rising property tax. but looking at back growing up there was a canyon you had to be out of by dark you could hike back 5 miles and there was nothing but oak and sycamore groves rattle snakes, bobcats, cougars, and coyotes there were cattle and Brahma bulls to protect them. Search and Rescue was called out to look for you.

But the freeways were extended and with those lights came the condos and the homeowners association, suburbia settled in its big fat rump.
Nothing but a sea of lights no darkness and where once you'd be possibly written off and cried for, there are movie theaters gas stations mini marts and strip malls and houses lots of houses with that all the concrete and asphalt and all the toilets that need to be flushed.

I watched the news about DACA and one person in Washington DC was espousing that there 500,000 undocumented people here in the United States now the news reporter contradicted her and said there were 700,000 and I sort of think there are more but if they're undocumented how do they count them? I can only guess what state the majority are living.

The point I'm attempting to make is, if a person says they're from California and under 45 to 50 years old they are lying, because it isn't California anymore and hasn't been for some time. I looked at old photos of California from the 1930's and that's what some parts of rural Oregon looks like to me in 2019
most estimates Ive seen in the media run between 10 and 20 MILLION illegals in-country.. 500000-700000 are seriously low-ball numbers.

I've read about the dust bowl days and Californians resentment of those newcomers. And I wonder... who were those people? How many years and how many generations removed from when Cali was mostly owned by Mexican grand families?

My folks moved from Connecticut in 1950 to S Calif... Los Angeles at first. Mom was from a dirt poor farming family. Dad left a good job with the phone company. They moved because of family problems and also because of the allure of S Calif at that time. Dad struggled with several jobs before finally landing a job back at the phone company. Then we moved from Los Angeles to the suburbs of Pomona at the easternmost part of Los Angeles County. We all went to Catholic School and being young, I don't remember any prejudice towards newcomers. Pomona was agricultural but I think they were indeed experiencing the growth of the suburbs at the time. Calif in those days was such a beautiful state, had so many natural advantages, and a proud history of Father Junipero Serra having traveled El Camino Real to settle the native populations. That's all gone now.

Migration is indeed natural. People bubblegum, but nothing will change as it's been done thru all history of man.

Texas is turning purple/blue as the cancer in Austin spreads. Only the center states are safe, for now.
The loss of Texas will hurt us bigtime in national elections...

I'm in the same boat. . It's not just the property values it's also the bonds and measures that they vote in that usually are similar to some stupid garbage that would be done in Cali. , like spending 295 million ripping the urinals out of the Portland building. Their are people pissing on the sidewalk in Portland and someone is stupid enough to worry about if a urinal is making someone Feel uncomfortable. ? .people that are that stupid have never had to sacrifice their feelings to do what needed to be done to make it through a rough time.
These so called changes has and will put more people out on the street and they are to stupid to see they are the problem.

My daughter moved her family from Buena Park 15yrs ago to Bentonville AR because of street shootings and other gang violence. Buena Park!!!!! Ark has been all around a much better enviro for them. They are conservative church goers. I fear for my grandchildren though because they moved my crazy lib ex there. :(:(:(

20 million is too low... add agin by half to make 30 million and you'd be about right. Illegals are bringing more of their family every day. Some are hard working conservative except for breaking the law to get here, others are scum. Send them all back!! Dreamers can dream about getting proper paperwork approved before coming back.

I don't blame blue state politics on everyone who lives there (or manages to escape). Idaho is just hanging on longer. Sadly, Boise will eventually fall over the edge just like Salem and Olympia (and Portland and Seattle).

In one of our Texas grocery stores, in front of the deli counter, was a platter of free samples of cheese with toothpicks in them for convenience of sampling.

I was gnawing on one of the samples when a woman sidled up next to me then proceeded to sneer at the 'freebie' samples platter stating: "That's against the law in california".

So, I munched for a few seconds and asked her "what's keeping you here"?

She gave me an open mouth look of dismay and quickly walked away...yes, women can be jerks too. Especially, when they come from kommiefornia with kommiefornia airs of superiority...
I'm still in California and "free samples" of food are given out. The only place I've seen toothpicks or those little paper things consistently is at Costco or Sam's Clubs. But most of their samples come out of a microwave or electric skillet.

This is timely for me and my husband.....I am a seventh generation Oregonian, and I have come to loathe the state I was born and raised in. My folks were third generation orchardists, and my mother's side of the family were and are loggers and sheep ranchers....the state edicts and spotted owl mess almost finished them off.

We are looking to get the hell out of Oregon and move to Idaho. I have my Mom's family who homesteaded in idaho in the 1850s, loggers, ranchers, and damn hard workers. This state has become a leftard nightmare.

We have fireams, we hunt, fish, I used to herd sheep and ranch before the industry went t*ts up in Oregon, and I've got to get out for my own sanity. this is nuts.

The gun grabbers, our Queen/governor Brown and the f@@##$t AG, Rosenblum will never give up and trying to wrest our inalienable rights, that THEY cannot remove. But they won't stop trying, ever. We have many pieces and they are part of a life long collection both of us. I will be damned if I let those two witches get ahold of our firearms, or try to make us register them, or put frigging trigger locks on them.

When I am ready to retire, we are OUT. The worst threat we face now, are the CAs and others moving to Idaho and raising the prices of the land, to where we cannot afford to buy it. We have a farm, we have means, but we can't pay CA prices. These SOBS ruin everything they touch....seen it here in N. Central OR where I live now. there has to be a way to stop them from moving to ID and ruining everything, just like what they left behind. Sick of their attitudes, sick of them waving money around, and sick of their politics.

If we could put up toll gates over the Cascades, and make eastern Oregon and eastern WA into the State of Jefferson or something similar, and make these bastards stop at the passes, it would be great. The leftards from Progtown, Salemgrad, and Little Moscow on the Willamette bring their filth and idiotic political ideas with them, and soon we are inundated with more taxes, thou shalt nots, and crowds everywhere.

Idaho as I knew it as a kid, with my late grandmother, has probably changed a bit. Time to get outta here before it is too late, and be among conservative folks who know the value of firearms, liberties, freedoms, and staying the hell out of my life.

Yup, you know it. Got some contacts there, and I have some friends who moved last year, from Crook County, cowboy, hunter, fisherman, trapper, and farrier. they can get by doing all sorts of things, got the hell out when the time was right. We are actively looking right now, still working full time and husband is retired. He went over to Idaho twice this summer, missed a good property by two days. Going to live in the woods and away from people, being out with the sheep all those years makes me want to stay the hell as far away from people as I can get. If we get the right place we're outta here. Don't need much, wood for heat and cooking, pole barn, water. I can live without much, since I had my sheep camp for years. Oregon is toast.

Quite frankly I am quite dismayed at the amount of animosity and assumptions stemming from you folks just based off of where someone is from. It is unbecoming and not at all what I would expect from a community whose #1 rule is "be excellent to each other"

I was born and raised in Kali, I've been shunned, kicked out of school multiple times because of my pro 2a stance, as well as ostrisized from multiple groups. Ive worked blue collar my whole life, joined and served honorably in the Marine Corps. Haven't even once asked anything of the state I reside in, Yet this is the aditude I get faced with when folks ask about where I'm from, just because I'm a transplant.

As a transplant the only thing I ask is a fair shake before you immediately blame me just based off of where I came from, this has happened frequently at various city meetings and quite frankly isn't helping the 2a community at all. If anything your intentionally creating animosity amongst potential comrades.

Everything you good people say is true, I live in the socialist republic of Eugene and hate it. Sadly I don't see a way to stop it. I can hardly wait to get the f**k out of here and let the place collapse
