Idaho will no longer investigate wolf poaching. The 12 groups (Oregon Wild, Defenders of Wildlife, Center for Biodiversity, etc) that sued to re-list the wolf need to take accountability for this, but of course they're going to blame ID's gov.
They left the governor with no choice. What did they expect? A state to continue to fund wolves when they are not allowed to manage them? That's ignorant. The majority of ID citizens didn't want them, the state voted down re-introducing them but they were forced on the state. Without any options to control numbers.
I hope the groups are happy. At least with allowing the state to manage (allowing a hunt) you're guaranteed that they won't be slaughtered to a point of no return. With no enforcement now that is a possibility.
