One thing about doing the Shernic build to a stock SKS, it's not irreversible, it's only a furniture change. I cut my barrel on this SACO action because the muzzle was damaged, and it had bad deep corrosion throughout, no turning back once the hack saw sees action. It's not well balanced but the trigger is better. PAX

Finally added a vertical grip to the tri-rail. Handles better and looks like it does so. PAX

If you've got a 9mm Hipoint, I'd give that a try. The Shernic is short but ended up being quite a bit heavier than my lightest Paratrooper SKS, 10.8# as it sits. Prolly closer to 12# (or 14# when loaded with 10 rounds) once it gets the flashlight and a laser. PAX
