I would love to get a retro AR15/m16a1. Starting to do my research and pricing things out.
Would like to get something to shoot right now, and maybe add and build one later on.
Like get a retro (colt mil parts) with some new receiver and find SP1 receiver later.

Any info is appreciated.

thank you!

I've been looking at some m16a1 parts kits and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. Would it be a good choice to get parts kit and pick up receiver just for now and later get actual colt sp1 receiver?

The front take down pin size will be too small for an SP1 lower,so an adapter will be required. Also watch out using M16 internals in a semiauto firearm.
Other than that,I've seen it done successfully, just may not be very accurate due to possibly worn out barrel.:s0155:
