Back story:
I've been developing a ganglion cyst in my hand, right at the base of my middle finger near the joint. Doc tried to aspirate it several weeks ago in the office, but it came back with a vengeance. It was poking out, and painful. Couldn't lift as much at the gym either. So we decided to do surgery. BUT, once they called and told how much my responsibility would be, I said thanks but no thanks. There had to be another way.
Fast forward to yesterday. I was just about to call the doc back and reschedule for surgery. I could afford it OK, but I was not looking forward to shelling out the dough for such a stupid simple procedure. I got so fed up that I flared my fingers out as far as they'd go, and smashed my hand on the granite countertop as hard as I could tolerate.
Surprise! No more bump! Looks like I managed to bust the cyst all by myself. I will employ this technique again as needed!
