I have no problem with you taking some money for the hours worked. I am sure it is a pittance. Having this forum to have answers to questions, deals and dickering to be done and just plane sharing ideas has been wonderful. I wish you the best luck in your dream.

Love the site and I visit it every other day. I still remember back in 2008 when you were making banners and images for the concept! Anyways, sorry it took me so long to donate.

Keep up the good work, and I envy you for following your dream!

I feel honored to be a part of this community, and I would like to see some positive growth in members and features of this site. I have typically had nothing but stellar experiences with this community and it's moderators, lets all push towards making NWFA even better!

Good luck Joe!

Once I dig myself out of the hole I'm in I will throw some cash your way.

well, out of the gate....congrats on your decission, as i'v been floating around here since 09, and have always had the utmost respect for "you, and mods" !! i'v always taught my children, sometimes you have to take a risk in life, otherwise you'll be looking back, saying "maybe" !!
if your looking for a "nod", you have mine !!

This site has been a hobby to some, an obsession to others, and helped to provide a source of income/opportunity to increase the value of collections for years. It's well past the time that it's founder got some benefit from all his hard work. The mere fact that your conscience made you feel you had to disclose your intentions tells me all I have to know about you as a person. You have my respect and best wishes moving forward.

Joe, that is some amazing commitment. My hat is off to you and your hard work.

I have the luxury of two retirements, one military and the other from Washington County. I left the Air Force in '93 and left Washington County in December 2013. I admit I've struggled a bit finding a new direction after all those years of work, but I doubt you will as it's obvious how hard you work and how much of yourself you've put into this forum. Having visited a lot of similar forums, I always end up back here because of the people here and the focus and direction you provide in keeping this a great place for firearms and shooting enthusiasts. Good luck and glad to hear you're not quitting us, which is what I was afraid I'd find when I clicked here. All the best!
That's awesome. I was in the Air Force too, as Security Police / Security Specialist.

I don't know if this is the right place or not, but I need sales reps. You work for comission, on your own schedule with your own style. And you don't carry inventory.
Send an email to [email protected] with Rep as the subject and I will send you all the info you need.

Hay Joe,

I'm a brand designer by trade, graphic designer with a focus on branding, logos, branded material, etc. The company I work for recently closed their Portland office and I was laid off. I've enjoyed this site for years and would be happy to discuss helping you out on a pro bono basis with any small design projects you may need while I have free time. I've worked with some major brands like Nike and Xbox and my time is certainly precious to me, but I would gladly volunteer some of my time as long as it does not keep me from looking for paying full time work or paying freelance projects.

You can download a PDF of my book here:

Thanks Joe. You don't need to apologize, this is way more than a hobby on the side. I can't think of a single good reason you shouldn't be compensated for the work you do here and the service you provide.

Good luck with it.
