Oregon was a great state until all the commies moved here. Hunting and fishing was excellent and well managed, plus it wasn't crowded with karens and Ken's all upset if they saw a gun.

Ive always been fascinated by the open carry movement. To me if I cant carry in any city town or mall or store then I'm just living in my own freedom denial intentionally staying within places that accept it. Saw a guy open carrying in Cabelas in Boise this summer and wanted to ask him if he also carried in grocery stores and shopping malls as well.
I have no doubt that rural states and areas like those states accept open carry in rural areas, but did you go out to dinner to a nice restauraunt, go shopping in a major mall, grocery stores while there? Im just curious about more details of your experience.

Have lived in Boise since it WAS an awesome place to live…moved here in the 70's from Omaha during the peak of the disaster there - "desegregation". Boise has now become just another liberal bubblegumhole filled full of jackasses. I carry everyday and probably shouldn't for fear of what I'd like to do . Just kidding, I actually prefer freedom over a concrete cell. Literally 9 out of 10 humans that are here now are Californian's, we have all the LA trash. Traffic is horrendous, and don't tell me you haven't been here or there, I have and it's bad here. Doesn't help matters when we have retards for traffic engineers. Every road except Main St downtown is set up to stop you at EVERY traffic signal light. I'm moving to central Idaho in the middle of nowhere soon.
PLEASE, fix help your problems in your own state BEFORE considering moving to Idaho.

@Bam thank you for a well written post. If I was a single man at the start of my career I would be on my way out of Oregon. It is beautiful here, but many places are beautiful. I could still visit Oregon in the summer.

Portlanders look down their nose at everyone, including Seattle, which is 1000 times more important than Portland. You could discover the lost city of El Dorado and someone from Portland will laugh at you. Portlanders believe they are the only people in America with internet.

The Chinese tourists were the most intrigued, and the most shocked reaction was from a British couple who couldn't fathom why I had gun strapped to my waist for all to see, they actually said out loud if that was legal and if someone should call someone. BTW, China has a 100% ban on ANY firearms ownership by its citizens, whereas the UK has over 6,000,000 people who shoot their own guns for business or pleasure, or both, like me. To put that into perspective, that's about 1/12th of the population - not too shabby for a country that's had THREE mass shootings in the last 35 years, and none at all before that.

More people have been shot dead in Chicago so far this year than the total in the whole of UK since the year 2000.

My stepdaughter just fled Boise to move to Richland OR near the Snake R. Small town living on 10ac... she and her BF just couldn't take it anymore. Sh*t, I remember Boise back in 1978. One of my Coast Guard buddies used to live there, his folks still did, and we spent a few weeks hunting deer, pheasant, etc. He's the one that suggested I move to La Grande instead of the big city of Boise... I so glad I made THAT choice!!

That's because we cut down ALL the trees... must have used them for homes. All of us are lumberjacks in red flannel shirts using a blue ox to help carry logs.

In Eastern Oregon we make sure we put on our camo sweat pants before strapping on the old Single Action Colt Peacemaker and heading to the WallMart...
