We have saved a bunch of jars that I use for ice tea. She buys stuff in jars and we will toss older jars out as we get new ones.

What my wife hoards are bags. Feed bags, dog food bags, any sturdy bag. She used them for trash and any dog poo she picks up around the place. I used to get on her for how many bags she had and now when a box of them gets full and she starts another I toss out the full box without her knowing. I make sure there are still lots of bags around though… I just control the ones she forgets she has.

OK, I have a problem - I see 'value' in glass jars and when I use up a product in one I remove the label, clean off the adhesive, wash the jar and put it in a box for possible later use.

NOW - don't get any weird ideas - I DON'T have 10K jars stacked up like cordwood in my house, lining the halls like a 'compulsion' - but I do have a few boxes of them saved thinking I might use them for something.

NOW - I DO have some jars in use to store bullets, brass etc but they are all the same size and are practical for this, and I do keep a few for BBQ sauce I make and freeze BUT I REALLY have a problem throwing the other, unusable ones in the trash.

I am open to any 'counseling' as to my jar 'obsession' !!!
An observation, it seems completely normal to me , glass jars are great for storing things , added plus you can see what is in them, with a cardboard box you have no idea. They also can be filled with a variety of interesting items and used for target practice. I'm thinking colored water, or some colored powder, not nitro glycerin or gun powder !! :) take a movie of it blowing up and post it somewhere on the internet, someone will find it interesting ...

Uh, are you forgetting I mentioned GLASS JARS?

I certainly hope you don't do this. Glass is illegal to shoot (on public property) - and incredibly stupid to shoot ANYWHERE....
This is true, but they can be so fun!

(But don't do it)

Just have a friend you trust tell you if you're being an arse and have too much glarse. 😊

Nothing useful to add, but....

I take a pee bottle camping. It is cold outside the tent and I don't want to have to go out there to pee in the middle of the night.
I love winter camping, my favorite thing is waking up in the night to hang wang! Invigorating!

I have a pretty sizeable collection of these tin cans:

Great for all of the hardware I have left over after "fixing" one of my vehicles.

When I get too many, I give them to my coworkers, who use them for exactly the same thing, all those extra nuts and bolts that vehicles come with....

But if they're filled with Tannerite, the pieces would be too small to worry about. :s0087:
