I need a casting pot/furnace yesterday.

I use one of those propane turkey fryer's. I found a like new one on Craigslist for real cheap. It puts out a lot of BTU's in a hurry.
I also use a heavy duty stainless steel teapot that has a strainer in the spout. I use it for melting tire weights and the spout makes it real safe to pour into small fishing weights molds and the like.
There is a lot of debris and steel clips when using wheel weights, but the internal stainer does a great job of cleaning it up. Not the best lead, but I get it free from a friends tire store.
