I love the smell of ________

    I can't figure out what I like more; the smell of spent gunpowder or the smell of a clean and oiled gun...:D

    Sorry, I just finished cleaning and needed to share.

    Spent gunpowder as the nightlite blast illuminates the air is pretty amazing

    I'd have to say burnt gunpowder. There's nothing quite like picking up a hand full of freshly spent brass, holding it close to your nose and taking in the aroma. Ahhhh.:thumbup:

    Dating myself here, It's a toss--the smell of a freshly fired paper hull
    shotshell, or the smell of old formula Hoppes #9.

    Hard choice, guess I'll have to take a good smell of my cleaned and oiled 1911 before I point it down range today..ahh the aroma..life is good. :thumbup:

    The silence after a gun fight in Afghanistan intensifies the sense of smell and as night begins to fall your vision is limited increasing it further. Sometimes there is no breeze to clear the air and the smell of burnt gun powder will last forever with you.

    It is a good smell.
