Their bs law says you cannot bring "assault rifles" nor >10 round mags from out of state into WA.I understand I may use my existing high capacity magazines while I'm in Washington? Does that include AR-15s?
No, that sounds right. Until Sideshow Bob declares that that's not what it really means even though that's what it says. But that could be months from now.Their bs law says you cannot bring "assault rifles" nor >10 round mags from out of state into WA.
If the items were already in WA prior to the law then they can be kept and used there. If they were in WA prior to the law a wa resident can leave wa state and return to wa state with them. Someone correct me if I'm wrong plz.
Good thing that OP had most of his guns stored at girlfriend's place prior to the law.No, that sounds right. Until Sideshow Bob declares that that's not what it really means even though that's what it says. But that could be months from now.
Unless it says "resident". I don't recall.Good thing that OP had most of his guns stored at girlfriend's place prior to the law.Actually I don't know if that woudl be legal but seems to me it would be. No new "assault weapons" can enter the state. They can leave but not enter (unless it's a wa resident leaving and then returning with a pre ban "assault weapon"). I'm no expert on it though. That's just how I understand it.
Me either. A trust woudl get around that though. But trust woudl have to exist prior to the law for that to work (trust may not be needed if guns simply have to be present in WA prior to the law).Unless it says "resident". I don't recall.
Sounds like a good question for a lawyer. Which I am most assuredly not.Me either. A trust woudl get around that though. But trust woudl have to exist prior to the law for that to work (trust may not be needed if guns simply have to be present in WA prior to the law).
10rnds or less, you might as well have a rubber band gun.11+ rounds can kill multiple people, 10 rounds.... not so much.
Welcome to Washington.
I would think having guns at a residence that were not registered to yourself and considering that you are legally able to own firearms. If it was the sheriff I don't think he'd have a problem but he would probably ask for the guns to be taking back to the original owner's premises to avoid any conflict. If the men in black show up I think she would be screwed either way.Good thing that OP had most of his guns stored at girlfriend's place prior to the law.Actually I don't know if that woudl be legal but seems to me it would be.
