I used to own a FR8 and shot both 7.62 Nato and .308.
Both worked fine in my rifle .
At the time of purchase I had a choice of a FR7 or FR8.
I picked the FR8 for the reasons stated by Bobclown above in post #20

And that's why you don't use commercial ammo in the FR7. On the plus side the bolt doesn't look it flew out of there.

Anyways.
Yes. I believe this is a wrong caliber for the gun issue. Not a 7.62 vs. .308 issue.;)
