I cant post to classifieds?

Did you go to the proper forum? i.e. Handgun Classifieds, Rifle Classifieds, etc.

Do you see the grey button "+ Post New Thread"? It's right above the "Forum: ??????? Classifieds"

Click on it, then the rest is obvious.

While I know how to post an add, it does not give me a post new thread option.

You have to make sure to go to the proper upper forum as mentioned by Slowpoke. You can't select the filtered list like OR Handguns or WA Handguns. Those don't give you the option to post. But if you go into the major category Handguns, you can post.
