Sadly it will not matter if this city wins or not. Gun owners are voting for more and more laws and the people they vote in are giving them what they want.

If any other civil right was removed, there would be chaos in the streets.
Actually no there would not, the 2nd Amendment has been under scrutiny for around 120 years.
And cities have done this before, even stripping rights to possession, long before this modern fight.
Whats worse is the NRA was against a person carrying a firearm and actually helped cities and counties establish gun free
zones. ( A black eye the NRA wants forgotten)
The point is look at the past to protect the future. Waving the 2nd Amendment flag then , didn't work and sure as hell wont now.
What worked was people protesting in the streets that people had the right to be armed. We need a million man march on DC to get huge press.

I agree, and gun groups being DEM friendly is not helping. As they are npt seeing the fight at all. This last election should be a wake up call, and I am hoping NWFA will change their policies to this tolerance before its too late, and it may already be so.

On Jan. 1, Boulder's ban on so-called assault weapons went into effect. Caldara said he is in violation of the law now because he owns a rifle with a pistol grip that accepts detachable magazines—a commonly owned style of rifle in the United States—and the city's ban makes possession illegal of it unless residents submit to police inspection and certification of their firearm. He said he is a law-abiding father of two who won't submit to police investigation and simply wants to be left alone by the city.

"I respect the police, greatly," Caldara wrote. "The cops I know hate the idea of enforcing this intolerance. I ask them when they come to arrest me and confiscate my guns, they give me enough warning, so my kids aren't around when they do it."
